On Wednesday 18th July, 2023 The Regional Sports Development Officer-Centre was invited as a guest of honour at the Official launch of Malawi Para Games Against Stigma. The games are officially launched now and they are starting on the 27th of this month at Bingu National Stadium.

Mozambique this year Hosted A TORNEIO ÌNTE-PROVINTIAL TAEKWONDO TETE. This competition involved 4 African countries; Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Malawi was represented well of which our athletes came back with 12 Medals and a trophy was awarded to Innocent Kasimbi a Kamuzu Institute for Sports athlete, as the best player of the whole competition.Inspite the trophy he also came back home with 2 Gold medals..

On 15th May Kamuzu Institute for Sports conducted a Sports for All festive of which athletes had a chance to showcase their skills...this resulted into talent identification where all athletes who performed well were awarded with certificates. This is a good development and a platform that is used to identify athletes and also improve self esteem amongst the athletes
