AICD PARTICIPANTS IN TREE PLANTING EXERCISE

As the National Tree Planting Season continues, Africa Institute for Capacity Development employees took their time on Saturday to take part in a tree planting exercise at Dzalanyama Forest Reserve.

AICD joined the public and other members of the corporate world to restore back nature at the forest. Dzalanyama Forest Reserve is located on the western side of Lilongwe City and northwest of Dedza. The reserve was established for protection of water catchment area. However the reserve has recently been degraded due to wanton cutting down of trees mainly for the production of firewood and charcoal.
