Our project with Opportunity International supported by the Agriculture Transformation Initiative program which aims to diversify tobacco-dependent economies. Our technology-enhanced finance and training extension addresses capital and resource barriers, access and training for alternative value chains, development of business plans, and gender challenges for women smallholder farmers.
To stimulate supply and demand for farmers working with alternative crops, the initiative offers access to capital ( through ) for farmers to expand their businesses, along with the technology and training required to increase production and profits. Key project components include the development and delivery of a range of financial products tailored for farmers, crop-specific training to maximize end-market opportunities, innovative video training on best agricultural practices, and financial literacy training... more to come on the progress of the project which began late 2019 for the 2019/2020 summer rain season.

Our ongoing research work with the Peanut Innovation Lab 2019/2020 season.
Our research project develops profitable and sustainable peanut production practices that combine inputs and interventions to measurably increase yield, quality and profitability for smallholder and more commercial farmers. Packaging practices that have been proven to be beneficial through past research into a whole program across numerous cultivars will be accomplished through this project.

The Soybean Innovation Lab (SIL) SMART (Soybean Management with Appropriate Research & Technology) Farm is a knowledge and technology hub, providing farmers, practitioners, agricultural development organizations and governments with evidence based technical guidance on soybean production.
The SMART Farm research model is innovative because of its ability to readily translate research into appropriate practices for adoption by those engaged in soybean production and development.

An important part of our business is multiplying quality seed for the farmers of Malawi and beyond. Seed is the basic input in agriculture. The quality of seed used by farmers determines the status of agriculture they practice. However, for maximum gain in productivity the use of both improved varieties and improved integrated crop management practices are required. Process of trial establishment of on research of; Development of Efficient Agronomic Peanut Production Packages.
We are working with the and the Peanut Innovation Lab; to investigate the investment in multiple interventions and the return on those investments relative to yield, quality, costs, and aflatoxin contamination. The goal is to develop profitable and sustainable peanut production practices that offer incremental steps with inputs and interventions for the private sector and commercial farms while providing clarity on the key limiting factors in subsistence, small holder production.
