Lake Chapala and surrounding Lakeside area is a wonderful place to play tennis - perfect weather year round!
We have two distinct places to play including The Racquet Club in San Juan Cosala and Cristiania Park in Chapala.
The Racquet Club: is situated in the mountains overlooking San Juan Cosala, which is one of the many villages along Lake Chapala, Mexico’s largest fresh water lake and surrounded by the majestic Sierra Madre Mountains. It is only 10 minutes away from the village of Ajijic. Despite the small-village atmosphere the Raquet Club offers a wide range of services and amenities, including many fine restaurants within close proximity.
Their website is here:

Cristiania Park in Chapala is a popular spot for gringos to drop into in the mornings while the Mexican play in the afternoons and weekends generally. There are 6 hard court with a couple of pros and a pro shop that sells tennis balls (note: only non-pressurized used here). You can also buy cold drinks and beer!
Drop in days here are Mon, Wed and Fri at 11am - gets very busy in high season. Rates 20 pesos for 2 hours.
You can book courts too or a pro!
Chapala Hotel, in Ajijic has tennis courts but no organized play.
