Stepping out of your comfort zone I don’t think happens too often. But once in a while it’s needed. Needed for growth, mentally, physically, emotionally. You prove to yourself you are capable of more than you think!
We need that in this journey of life right!?

When is the last time you did something out of your comfort zone? Mind you, it doesn’t always have to be something of grandeur….

Happy 2024 everyone!!

I have not posted too much lately with an invite to our home workout programs (called BODi) and especially a challenge. Apologies for that, but work has taken the front seat;)

I was not always consistent. I started this journey 13+ years ago, so many of you now know me as being consistent. But let me assure you, that when I started I was lost, I had no idea what to do, and I was hoping someone would just TELL me! I did not have the time or energy to even deal with a gym.

And here is the honest truth, I feel that the reason why I have been SO consistent for the past many years, without any large amount of time or days without exercise is because of these things:

~ zero commute time to a gym 🙂
~ zero thought about what I am going to do for the day because I am usually following a workout program, with a very thought out workout calendar!
~ zero question about what to do, what moves are next, what is the correct form, because there is a super trainer on my screen telling me!
~ zero boredom because the programs change all the time, and new programs come out several times a year.
~ now a days, we have a streaming system....so our very inexpensive membership gets you access to everything, and the variety is insane!

Look, I am NOT here to convince you that this is the best or only option. I am here to share something that has simply worked for me and hundreds of thousands of others. This is a very easy and inexpensive option that can be used by everyone...even gym go'ers! You will never know unless you give it a try. Be grateful for your S T R E N G T H!
We all have strength inside of us. In our physical bodies and our mind.
Don’t just see strength as being strong physically- by being able to lift certain weight or doing being able to do a certain workout move.
You have strength! Remember that and use it to move forward towards your goals. One foot in front of the other:)

Work, family, house, friends.... so much to do! But if you prioritize your health just like you do other important, non-negotiable things in your life, you WILL find the time!

Get up the extra hour earlier before work! Make it happen;)

Jab, slip, upper cut!

Exactly what i need after a long day at work.
Yup that’s right… need! Not always a want.
But need to keep fighting forward and feeling fluid and strong- those are the goals these days!

We all wear a lot of hats.

Mine are wifey, mom, friend, sister, daughter, clinical trial manager, health and fitness partner for Bodi, house keeper, yard worker (see pic here lol), bill payer, scheduler, etc etc

If there is one thing that makes me better in all of these roles, it is taking care of myself. I used to feel very lethargic. I often chalked it up to hypothyroidism, busy-ness, being a mom of young ones. So I committed to MY health and a small part of my day to take care of me (fitness/movement). Now I feel like I can do all these things and not dread it. (well I mean sometimes i dread some of it but you get my drift;) lol 😂

I love the simplicity of what I do. My accountability group/chat + workout program calendar I follow + meal plan I follow (for at least most of the time, with guiding principles). I have tried other things in the past that haven’t worked, like crash diets, meal delivery diets, even supplements that make (obviously) false promises.

What I do now works. Routine is everything. The support is everything. Feeling strong is everything. And I know that feeling more fit makes everything in my life better!

I’d love for you to do it with me.

You CAN go on vacations, celebrate birthdays and special occasions, go through summer, travel for work and not gain weight.
Don’t let that be a reason or an excuse.

Instead learn to live the same daily and have balance. During the last several weeks I did a lot of traveling but I kept certain things the same or in check:

Daily movement
Water
Not overdoing the alcohol
Sleep
Protein focused meals
Shared desserts or if it really wasn’t good, don’t eat it!

Recently we were at an all inclusive and of course i could eat sweets at every meal! Some times i did but if i did, it was a bite/taste and shared with my son. It’s not that you can’t have it!!!! But I completely believe in balance and moderation.- you know just like that saying work hard play hard- you need both! 😉

It feels good to have finally figured this out because the roller coaster ride is not fun.
Now you may be wondering why I’m doing the gut protocol starting monday- well, some times you want to dial things in further and the gut protocol eliminates foods that impact your overall health, microbiom, brain, energy, inflammation- so I choose to do this reset! Take it up a notch!!

It’s not hard, it’s just a little more focused. Still time to join us!

I don’t know about you, but when I hear phrases like “This is the Foutain of Youth” or “It’s time to feel great again”…. I’m like YESSSSS Please!

I never like to put my complaints or ailments out there on social media so I’ll just share this… …
Back surgery (in fact back issues practically my whole life), residual nerve damage to my left leg/calve/foot, monthly hormone migraines, hypothyroidism and the random “things that pop up” over the last few years…
it’s super, super important to take control, and not let things get out of control!! Do you know what I mean!? I know i’m not alone in this- everybody has something!

So onto the next … onward and continued upward! I want to be rolling into my 48th bday next month feeling AMAZING…and Im hearing from many people about the following two things my team and I will be starting JULY 10th!

1.) Amolia Cesear’s newst fitness program called “Chop Wood, Carry Water”. This program willl be 70% strength training, 30% primal moves. You need dumbbells. There is a workout calendar to pick from committing to 4, 5 or 6 days of workouts per week and the workouts range from 25-45 mins a day. You can expect mobility and strength improvements 100% if you stick with this! And at 48 years old THAT is something I care about a lot!!

2.) The 4 week GUT Protocol, by Autumn Calabrese (and other nutrition experts!) It’s The 4 Week Gut Protocol is a comprehensive nutrition program that shows you how the food you eat impacts your gut health and overall health. You will eliminate foods/drinks that are 100% known to impact your gut (causing all the GI things plus weight retention), and add in a few things to help health the gut!! You can 100% expect changes in your gut, skin, sleep, brain and energy level if you follow this program - I can’t freaking wait!!!

I will be in both groups and doing both programs…you can join us in one or both also!
