Season 2 is ready to roll! Revenge on the mind...

After being away from the game of bocce for a number of years, I decided on a whim to throw my hat into the ring of the Ohio Bocce League draft. I was met with understandable skepticism and then also with old friendships being reborn and made some killer new ones as well. I played mediocre through limited court time but prided myself on being a good teammate. I quickly realized the game had evolved way past what i could compete with on limited time and a rusty skill set. I Grossly misjudged how much the talent has improved in the game since i was last on the scene but am humble enough to admit i was in well over my head but proud i gave it 💯 . i loved every second of it, The competitiveness, the camaraderie and the ex*****on of a well laid out plan and I got to see it all up close and personal. I write this today to officially step down as a player on the Koppel Gamblers and thus give them a chance to pick up another awesome talent that deserves to be on the court with these top flight players. I love the game of bocce and plan to play in events throughout the summer as life allows. The OBL is the future of the game and it is goin to be amazing to watch it grow! Much love

This story starts on a Brisk Thursday night, OBL giants all doing battle for their spot as KING, a smiling, happy to be there player sat off in the distance. He played his first game and dropped into the losers bracket as everyone probably expected but this is where his story begins. Faced with a mountain to climb pgh joe dug in and took down Mahoning Valley front man in a colossal upset. Pgh Joe then decides his feel good story does not end there and decides to walk all over the hellhounds front man in the next game. PGH Joe stood victorious, two giants down. But as he sipped his celebratory coca cola, a shadow loomed from the far end of the court….that shadow was none other then MHP, the KOPPEL GAMBLERS ENFORCER……

Moral of this story is…..not all stories have a happy ending. Turns out you can slay a hitman and a hellhound but the kryptonite of Thursdays unlikely hero was a Gambler.
