Another great start for a week on the flats of Chetumal City fishery!

We were happy to welcome back our friend Tom Kennedy for one more trip with our program. We had multiple Bonefish action, to some Jacks, exciting shots at the always challenging Permit and jumped and landed several nice Juvenile Tarpon with the great work from our guides Temo and Chucho.

Our friend and experienced angler, Daniel, showed up with the mindset it takes to chase true giants—and when the opportunity came, he made it count. What followed was a powerful, hard-fought battle with a Tarpon well over the 150 lb mark!

Behind that moment was the experience of our head guide, Temo. Years on these waters, positioning the boat and knowing exactly when and where to be. That level of knowledge is what puts our anglers in front of fish like this.

Chetumal City fishery with our program is one of the few places where opportunities like this can happen.

What makes it special is the chance to leave the flats and move into open waters—something we do when conditions are right. It’s there, where true big tarpon can be found.

These are not everyday shots, but real opportunities that open up for anglers willing to commit and be ready when the moment comes.

Billy stepped into that experience with us. When the opportunity came, he made it count—and after an unforgettable fight, he landed his very first big tarpon, well over the 100 lb mark.

Congratulations, Billy! And this it’s just the first of many to come!

During the last week, we welcomed back our friend Daniel Beilison from Fly Fishing Caribe with a great group of fly anglers all arriving with one clear goal: discover what makes Chetumal City fishery truly unique.

Despite going through challenging conditions, we managed to have fun with Tarpon of all sizes, Snook, Bonefish, Jacks, and some opportunities with the ever-challenging Permit, but beyond the catches, what truly makes the difference with our program is the knowledge and experience from our guides: Temo, Chucho, Omar, Calin, Angel, Carlos, Daniel and Saul.

And when the day ends, the experience continues: great food, proper rest, and an environment that makes every moment enjoyable both on and off the water.

Thank you Daniel, Nadia, Alejandro, Francisco, Chino, Billy & Carlitos for trusting us. It was a pleasure sharing the bay with you.
