Mixtara

Mixtara is an initiative to establish a positive cycle of productivity by responsibly commercializing hand crafted creations from Tarahumara culture.

Getting to know a place (a geography) can be achieved by a mediation of a hand made object. Hand made objects achieve a concrete reality. The ethnic pieces that are shown in this catalogue have the power to make the observer become passionately attached to a place of enormous size, such as the Creel región of the state of Chihuahua, of which foreigners can have only limited direct access.
