For anybody interested in volunteering at vineyard, MPC will be volunteering on Tuesdays at 9 am. You don’t have to be member to join us, come on over!

Chis, Mike, Gord and I volunteered at the vineyard church this morning to make sandwiches and fill water bottles for the dump folks and four of the poorest colonias in Mazatlán. The vineyard has this process so well organized we were out of there in an hour and we made over 300 sandwiches! If any of our club members are here for the summer, please consider volunteering, they really need help during the summer months. We can make a difference here for the less fortunate. Let me know if you would like to volunteer.
PS The room we make sandwiches in is air conditioned!

Hey gang,
The vineyard church is in need of volunteers Tuesday and Thursdays at 9 am making sandwiches.

These are the details:
We make 320 sandwiches beginning at around 9:00 AM ( sometimes a bit earlier). It takes an hour or so, depending on how many people are there. Then we go to four of the poorest colonias as well as the garbage dump
to distribute them. We usually return between 12:30 and 1:00. In the winter we have many helpers. In the summer it can be a bit thin.
We do this every Tuesday and Thursday. We mostly can use help making the sandwiches. It doesn't require many people to go on the run in the van, so most people in the summer just help making the sandwiches
We also bottle fresh, filtered water to hand out. Very important in the summertime.

We had the last happy hour of the season at Diego’s Wednesday night. Time to plan next seasons fun in the sun events. So long snowbirds!

Wow, what a great 2 day tournament! We had 65 participants banging that little yellow ball around with friends and family cheering them on, smiling, laughing and gobbling up churros, with the BEST group of volunteers keeping the train on track! A big thank you to all the participants and volunteers, what a happy pickleball family! Special thanks to Colleen for the pictures!
