Three way tie for first at the Wickford Regatta after four races in 12-18 knots (and some period of gusts into the mid 20s).
Lars and Olin Guck were super fast with two bullets but Mike Easton and Tripp Burd returned to the position they are quite familiar with in the third race. With tight battles among these three teams, Todd Riccardi and Dalton Tebo took the last race setting up the three way tie between these teams. It’s going to be fully on for racing tomorrow tomorrow!
The NAASA sponsored Youth Women’s team of Kaleigh Morgan and Marina Barzaghi with their first day on a catamaran together definitely get the attrition award for hanging in all day with only two capsizes! Photo evidence courtesy of the talented Matias Capizzano.
Plenty of tired and bruised sailors at the Wickford Yacht Club regatta party, but the amazing food and drinks gave just enough of an extra pep to reminisce on the exciting racing.
