Ushiro Mae Kaiten Ukemi - How to do a front roll when falling backwards 🥋✌️ This variation of Mae Kaiten Ukemi is a fun and super usefull one. In many situations we end up standing backwards just before getting thrown and need to turn quickly in order to roll forward safely. Especially when rolling backwards isn’t an option. 😅 If tori gives us time it’s fairly easy to turn and roll. But if the motion is quick and there isn’t much time & space, we need to absorb with our body, turn just as much we can and roll from there. And this is where this roll becomes so important. 😇 Besides it’s practicality I find it also a great roll to improve awareness of surroundings, to increase control and also work on our fitness in general.
