🌺Talk and walk - Viernes de Dolores( Friday of our lady of the sorrows) we will talk and then walk to see at least 3 of the altars being prepare , and then will point you in the right direction to see the rest . Most altars open after 7 . How ever this year I won’t be able to do the walk to more altars . But we will see some of the preparations for the altars made for her, and learn about the background of this traditions

SEMANA SANTA CALENDAR AND ACTIVITIES
🪻🌻Friday march h 27th - día de la Virgen de los dolores ( virgin of the sorrows commemorative day) starting from 5/6 pm people our beautiful qltqrs in public fountains ⛲️ or in their homes , in honor of our lady of the sorrows and at, each detail and component has a meaning and the tradition is also to give lollipops and water and conserva a traditional food, want to learn more. ?

🌻🪻Saturday March 29th - Palm Sunday , we have the traditional piligramige which begins at the parque Juárez through sollano street and ends at our parroquia time starts at 10 am

🌻🪻Wednesday April 1st - piligramige at San Juan de Dios , starting from the church around 4 pm .

🌻🪻April 2nd - Holy Thursday visit if the sever houses , the tradition is to visit the beautiful altars made and out in each church around centro ( need to visit 7 ) from 7 pm

🌻🪻Friday March 3rd - Holy Friday - traditional piligramige of “ santo entierro” the holy burial , it represents a solemn procession of the funeral after Jesus death.
Time 5 pm from oratorio church . There’s also one at San Antonio church starting at 6 pm( please be very respectful )

🌻🪻Saturday April 4th glory Saturday , all churches are closed as a Symbol of grief and awaiting for Jesus resurrection.
Ceremony of resurrection at all churches with the new fire , 8/9 pm depending on the church

🌻🪻April 5th resurrection Sunday ! Masses every hour and churches open up ! We also have the traditional burning of the Judas at 12 noon ( very noisy to be honest )

-talk and walk . Our local traditional dances , la entrada de los xuchiles parade and new exhibit at casa canal .
We will talk about the parade of different dances and the meaning of the xuchiles offerings that will happen in the afternoon and then walk to the new exhibit at Casa Canal a very interesting but heartbreaking exhibit about children suffering the consequences of wars .
