Isn't she beautiful? The Big Splash is a very spacious and comfortable boat. Due to its size, it's still a charming boat ride even when it's a bit windy and the waves are kicking in.

There is enough space on the boat to spread your legs, sit in the shade and devour the food during the surface interval. You'll meet all the divers from different countries and have a little chat about your adventures above and underwater.

Taking my guests underwater for their very first time is one of my favorite things to do! Seeing the awe in their eyes when they experience the beauty of the ocean is very special. Such a nice day of diving with the most beautiful customers! We got to hang out on the boat together, chat and meet other divers. Not only the dives but also the time on the boat is an essential part of the Mermaid Divers experience.

Moray eels are a very comman part of the marine life we see during dives here in Cozumel. During the day moray eels are less active and most commonly seen hiding in holes and crevices with just their heads protruding.If we're lucky they come out and move over the reef, which is always a very exciting encounter! Most moray eels are nocturnal species and the best time to spot them out swimming and hunting is on night dives.

Turtles are everyones favorites! Our guests always ask me what they will see during their dives and we include our Cozumel fish slates into our briefing. Yes, there are very good chances to see turtles, sharks and rays during our dives. ☺️ But we can't make any promises. Luckily we are diving in a national marina park and not a zoo. The beauty of nature is that the animals show up when they want to and feel comfortable with us in their natural habitat. We are grateful every time the animals decide to show up, we get to spend time with them and we can observe them from a respectful distance.

Welcome to our beautiful Cozumel Reefs National Park or Parque Arrecifes de Cozumel. It was established in 1996 with the aim to protect and monitor the area. Please be aware of our Marine Park rules e.g. fishing, feeding or taking underwater souvenirs are strictly forbidden! Corals are very fragile so please no kicking or touching - marine life included. Our dive instructor will include proper underwater behavior in the briefing to protect our reefs for future generations. Thank you 🙏
