Today at San Francisco Wall, there was almost no current — and the Caribbean reef sharks came to visit us. 🦈
Gliding along the wall in calm, crystal-clear Caribbean water, with sharks cruising nearby… it felt like a true underwater paradise.
Cozumel always knows how to surprise and reward those of us who truly love diving. 💙🌊
Cozumel — where every dive can become a memory for a lifetime.

His Majesty, the Elkhorn Coral. 👑🪸
My favorite — and one of the rarest corals you can still encounter around Cozumel.
Its massive branches once dominated many shallow Caribbean reefs, creating entire underwater forests and providing shelter for countless reef creatures. Today, seeing a healthy colony like this feels truly special.
Every time I meet one underwater, I stop for a moment just to admire it.
His Majesty deserves an audience.

Where are you rushing to, little fish? 🐠🐟
What underwater carnival are you heading to, and who will be there?
Take us with you! We may be humans, but we love underwater celebrations too. 🌊💙

The colors, textures, and incredible shapes of Palancar Reef.
A creation of the greatest architect.
And it doesn’t really matter what you call that architect — God or Nature. Standing before something like this, you realize that its creative power is far beyond our understanding.
All we can do is dive, look around… and admire.

Underwater meditation. 💙
Just the reef.
Just Cozumel.
Perfect buoyancy and silence.
For a few moments, nothing else exists. No hurry, no noise, no worries — only breathing, weightlessness, and the endless blue.
What could be more beautiful?

Such an elegant little fish, don’t you think? Its special talent is that it’s much harder to spot than this photo might suggest.
This is a Harlequin Pipefish (Halicampus ensenadae). Its slender, elongated body, yellow-brown coloration, and tiny blue spots help it almost disappear among algae, corals, and reef debris.
You can find these little fish around Cozumel, but spotting one is not easy at all — you have to look very carefully.
And here’s another fascinating thing about pipefish: they are relatives of seahorses. And just like seahorses, it is the male who carries and takes care of the developing eggs.
A tiny underwater wonder that is so easy to miss during a big dive. 💙

The current can be exhausting... unless you're a sea turtle. 🐢
This loggerhead knows exactly where to rest. Behind a large sponge, close to the bottom, the current becomes much weaker, creating a perfect little shelter where it can relax without wasting energy.
For us divers, it's a different story. Holding the same position for just a few seconds often means constant finning and careful buoyancy control—all for the chance to capture a single photograph.
Nature has been solving problems like this for millions of years. We are simply lucky enough to witness it.

Meet our instructor and dive guide — Héctor Guillermo Meza Posada. Most of you know him simply as Memo.
Memo is an experienced Cozumel dive guide who truly loves the underwater world and knows these reefs like the back of his hand. But there's something else about him... he seems to have a little extra luck!
Over the past four years, Memo has encountered a great hammerhead shark five different times while diving around Cozumel. And just two days ago, it happened again. Our guests were lucky enough to witness this incredible shark with Memo at Yucab Reef.
Hammerhead sightings in Cozumel are never guaranteed—that's exactly what makes them so special. Every dive is a new adventure, and sometimes the ocean rewards you with a moment you'll remember for the rest of your life.
🍀 Come dive with us... and maybe you'll catch a little of Memo's luck!

Are you afraid of barracudas? We aren't. 🐟
Barracudas have an intimidating reputation, but the truth is very different. They are curious predators, not aggressive ones.
If you respect their personal space, stay calm, and don't try to chase or corner them, a barracuda will almost always choose to keep its distance. In Cozumel, encounters with these sleek hunters are common—and they're one of the highlights of many dives.
Their speed, powerful jaws, and razor-sharp teeth are perfectly designed for catching fish, not attacking divers. Treat them with the respect any wild animal deserves, and you'll discover just how beautiful and fascinating they really are.
Have you ever shared the water with a barracuda? Would you?
