In Mexico City it is relatively difficult to find a clean public toilet, even more in tourist areas. Sanborns, are the most reliable clean bathrooms for only a fee of 5 pesos (25 cents). If there are no sanborns near your area, you can try to find a restaurant, but it is a bit more complicated, most of them will say that you need to be a customer to use them and others will gladly let you use it.
