Cave Camp Reunion done! After 7 editions of our epic Cave Camp event, we decided to run a lower key event for Cave Camp veterans, maintaining the friendly atmosphere, great diving and socials, but without the packed programme, multiple workshops and sponsorship package. It has been a pleasure to welcome a bunch of repeat offenders and enjoy some amazing dives, lively evenings and insightful talks. Thanks to everyone who made it a special couple of weeks!

We have got through some top quality training this week as part of our Cave Camp reunion event. Al got through a demanding stage cave class and put everything together for a calm and precise graduation dive today. Jack worked hard and successfully completed cave DPV which included scootering through some spectacular passages a long way from home.

All advanced cave classes at Underworld include O2 Deco, complex scenarios and integration of Human Factors principles from The Human Diver. We invest time to make sure divers are comfortable, safe and conservation focussed. In water time is typically at least triple that required by agency minimum standards.

Another great presentation for the Cave Camp reunion crew! Underworld dive shop manager Shannon and Bram gave a great insight to creating their stunning map of Xulo, and the ongoing resurvey and creation of the pirate treasure themed technical map of Sistema Camilo. The beautifully made Xulo map is available direct from Shan and Bram, and at many local dive shops, including ours. It was a pleasure to have our old friend Cave Diving Adventures by Skanda Coffield-Feith give a talk to the Cave Camp reunion crew. Some great insights into exploration and resurvey projects, and a great chance to catch up. Cheers buddy!

We are having a blast with our Cave Camp reunion - cool socials, fun dives and in-depth training. Plans for this week include inspiring presentations, some DPV and Stage Cave training, more great dives in the beautiful Mexican caves and an epic final night of shenanigans.

We had a fun day yesterday with our friends at Tank Ha dive centre conducting the 3 year recertification for their SDI - Scuba Diving International Visual Cylinder Inspection qualification. Some really interesting discussions and a very impressive app written by Matt to track cylinders.

We had a great weekend running an Applied Skills class from The Human Diver here at Underworld. This intense training package concentrates on situation awareness, decision making, communications, leadership and teamwork. We bring the lessons to life using Interlab - a complex, space-based simulation that requires planning, briefing, communication and teamwork to succeed. A lot of the benefit from the course comes from sharing stories and experiences, and we had some great ones.

Get in touch if you want to join a future class! As well as having the only Human Diver instructor in Mexico at Underworld, we can run Applied Skills worldwide and set up a bespoke class for dive centres or project teams.

We have had a fun week refining some stage procedures with our old friend Carl, and managed to see some spectacular cave as a significant side benefit. There will be more great diving for the rest of the month, as we welcome the Cave Camp reunion crew.
