Great to see Rory’s excellent restriction grading system in action!

My upcoming map of Cenote Puerta Maya will feature a new restriction grading system that I've been working on.

The system uses letters (A-F) to represent the width measurement, and numbers (1-6) to represent the height measurement. These grades will appear in place of the traditional “R,” or “X,” on a map.

The concept is to provide divers with a general idea of what to expect when planning a dive. It is not meant to indicate the precise dimensions of a restriction.

A big thank you to all our friends who joined us for our reunion here at Underworld Tulum! Everyone really enjoyed the friendly and chilled out nature of the last 2 weeks. We loved our 7 years of running the full-on Cave Camp with sponsors, 40+ participants and multiple activities every day, but the slower pace gave much more opportunities for diving and quality time with friends. Next year's dates coming soon!

Our Cave Camp reunion team are enjoying some great dives this week. We are also taking the opportunity to hang out with old friends. Thanks also to Skanda for a cool talk about Balkan cave diving. What a fun week!

As well as all the great diving, we have had some fun evening events and socials during our Cave Camp reunion. Our Q+A with our old friend, tech diving pioneer and author Steve Lewis was a real highlight. Steve is currently part of the board of Dive RAID International and regaled with some stories of how he started diving, the changes he has seen, memorable dives and some predictions for the future. Thanks buddy!

We have had a great couple of days at our small and friendly cave camp reunion event. Lots of laughs, some DPV shenanigans as some of our divers start the journey to DPV cave and an epic presentation from Mauro Cave World about the inspiring Beyond the Sump expedition to Rio Uluapan in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Very nice to have some old friends from previous Cave Camp events visiting. We have a great couple of weeks of diving planned. Also, tacos!
