The Malaysia Touch Association (MTA) would like to inform followers, managers, coaches, players and interested parties, that the previously intended Junior National Touch Fiesta and Corporate National Touch Championship will be postponed to next year, 2027.

Unfortunately, due to constraints, we had to make that difficult decision, so that priorities for the rest of the year can be accomplished.

Our focus will be assisting State Touch Associations in delivering in their state-level competitions, enhancing our Refereeing Programme, and strengthening our High Performance Programme for future national competitions.

We thank and appreciate everyone for their understanding and continued support of our Touch community. The committee will be in touch with all stakeholders in due course.

On behalf of Malaysia Touch Association (MTA), a big congratulations to all the winners, & every team that participated in the National Touch Championship (NTC) & Junior National Touch Championship (JNTC) 2026. I hope the tournament provided a great opportunity & platform for teams in Malaysia, to compete & have lots of fun doing so.

Congratulations also to the recipients of the inaugural Chee Hoe’s Best Player Awards in the Boys, Girls, Ladies, & Men’s categories. Your performance throughout the tournament truly embodied the spirit, skill, & sportsmanship of our game.

This joint championship was made possible through the generous support of our valued sponsors & partners. Our sincere appreciation goes to Victo, Zenith, Kelapa, IJM Industries, Akubekam, Doc Tape, & Megashow, for believing in Malaysian Touch & supporting our sport.

A special TQ also to our match officials, volunteers, medical team, photographers, social media team, X Factor, & every member of the organising committee. Your tireless efforts, professionalism, & commitment behind the scenes ensured that the tournament delivered despite all challenges.

To parents, players, coaches, managers, & supporters, TQ for your patience, understanding, & unwavering support throughout the weekend.

Despite the difficult weather conditions, your positive spirit & cooperation made this championship a memorable & successful event.

We would also like to apologise for any shortcomings experienced. The organising committee made the best decisions possible in response to the ever-changing weather conditions, always placing the safety and well-being our highest priority. We understand that not every decision would have satisfied everyone, but we sincerely appreciate all the feedback received. We will carefully review all comments to further improve the planning & delivery of future MTA tournaments.

Finally, thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making the 2026 NTC and JNTC a success. Together, we continue to strengthen and grow the Touch community in Malaysia.

.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our next MTA event.

Thank you,

Syed Affendi
