First triathlon event of the year for Malaysia in Iskandar Puteri Johor last weekend saw a total participant of more than 500 people from under 6 years old category to over 40 category!

An annual event organised by the college under the flagship of for school & community development for triathlon with sanction from and assistance from Johor TOs. ( ).

Indeed an event full of positive vibes & energy gearing up a good head start for the sports.

Today saw a significant improvement in Dheeraj's performance & a good come back by Amri Ikhsaan Yazdani in the sprint distance.
Under the coaching & carefully designed program by JTA Technical Director coach Eugene Lee , our athletes are progressing steadily to prep themselves for the coming Seagames selection.

Johor Triathlon Coach Vincent Lerouvillois, who also teaches PE at Forest City International School, recently conducted a bike skills clinic designed to introduce young participants to the sport of triathlon. Held two weeks ago, the session attracted over 18 students and parents, focusing on essential bike handling skills and safety practices while cultivating enthusiasm for the sport.

This clinic was pivotal in preparing students for the Marlborough College Triathlon 2025. Through a hands-on and encouraging approach, it helped newcomers build confidence and develop a lasting interest in triathlon. Parental involvement added a meaningful community dimension, emphasizing the shared experience of sports development.

Coach Vincent’s initiative demonstrates how educators and coaches can inspire grassroots participation by aligning school-based programs with larger events. Such efforts prepare students for competition and promote resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for fitness and sport.
