Design Background:

Istana Balai Besar constructed in 1842 and completed by 1844 is the foundation of Kota Bharu or “the new castle”. It was built to replace the Kelantan Administration Center at Istana Kota Lama (Kampung Galuh) and Kota Kebun Menseta (Pulau Saba).

We derived our Medal design this year to showcase the majestic and historical grand palace gate.
