Krisis Air Bersih Semakin Meluas

Jakarta - Krisis air bersih yang terjadi akibat musim kemarau yang panjang semakin meluas ke sejumlah daerah di Indonesia. Saat ini, krisis air bersih tidak hanya terjadi di Pulau Jawa, tetapi telah meluas di sejumlah titik di Sumatra dan Kalimantan.

Kepala Pelaksana Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Lebak Kaprawi menyebutkan, 15 desa di enam kecamatan di Lebak, Provinsi Banten telah kehilangan akses air bersih.

“Air bawah tanah, seperti sumur timba, sumur bor, jetpump listrik dan sumber mata air mengering,” ujar Kaprawi, Rabu (14/8).

Enam kecamatan yang mengalami kekeringan tersebut adalah Kecamatan Sajira, Maja, Leuwidamar, Bojongmanik, Wanassalam dan Warunggunung. Akibatnya, Masyarakat yang ingin memenuhi kebutuhan mandi, cuci dan kakus (MCK) terpaksa berjalan kaki menuju lokasi daerah aliran sungai.

Sementara itu, ratusan warga di 59 desa di Gresik, Jawa Timur mengalami kesulitan air bersih. Untuk mendapatkan air bersih, warga harus membeli air dari Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM).

Di Sumatera, terdapat dua kecamatan yang mengalami krisis air bersih, yaitu Kecamatan Sangir Balai Janggo dan Sangir Jujuan. Krisis air bersih tersebut sudah berlangsung dalam dua bulan terakhir.

Kepala Jorong Sungai Takuak di Sangir Balai Janggo, Masri Kaini mengatakan, beberapa sumber dari air sumur hanya cukup untuk keperluan memasak.

Di sisi lain, distribusi air bersih PDAM Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu, Sumatra Selatan (Sumsel), juga menurun selama musim kemarau. Hal itu terjadi karena Sungai Ogan sudah hampir kering sejak beberapa bulan terakhir.

“Selama kemarau tahun ini terjadi penurunan distribusi air bersih pelanggan,” ujar Ditektur PDAM Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU), Abi Kusno.
