Khiew Hoe Yean secured 3rd place in the Men’s 400m Freestyle Final at the Mare Nostrum Swim Tour – Canet leg, clocking 3:52.61.

At the 250m mark, Hoe Yean was still trailing France’s Logan Fontaine in fourth place with a split of 2:25.56.

However, he made his move heading into the 300m, overtaking Fontaine to climb into third before maintaining his position all the way to the finish.

Sweden’s Victor Johansson took gold in 3:46.77, while Italy’s Marco De Tullio claimed silver in 3:49.99.

Malaysia Aquatic is proud to introduce the MAS Swimming Badges Program, a structured 7-level pathway designed to guide young swimmers step by step, from basic water confidence to competitive readiness.

Each level features its own assessment criteria, badge identity and certificate, helping swimmers build skills progressively in a fun and motivating way.

The 7 levels are:
Level 1 : Starfish
Level 2 : Sea Turtle
Level 3 : Guppy
Level 4: Octopus
Level 5: Frog
Level 6: Swordfish
Level 7: Dolphin

This program is designed to create a clearer development pathways for swimmers, while also opening progression opportunities into competitive swimming and other aquatics sports like artistic swimming & water polo.
