Founded in 2010 with the motto ‘Teach with Love, Learn with Heart and Dance with Passion' The studio first opened with one teacher and three eager students.
Since the beginning, our mission has been to provide a holistic education of the performance arts, ensuring that students acquire the skills to unleash their potential and pursue a passion in the art of dance. Reimagining iconic literature and translating the world of Shakespeare for a modern day ballet looks like digging deeper into the hidden arcs within a familiar tale. What does it mean to understand the characters of Hippolyta, Hermia and Helena through the lens of their identity and not their relationship? For 15 years, KLSP has made theatre and Shakespeare accessible to young audiences and the wider public, and they are the only theatre company in Malaysia that focuses on Shakespeare’s works.
