〚 I Y D 2 0 2 6 〛
Before June ends, here is a little throwback to IYD this year, a beautiful way to close the first half of 2026 and step into the second.
Last year, I carried a bump with me to the event, leading 108 sets of Sun Salutations alongside the karma teachers. I remember trying to do a few sets myself and quickly realizing just how challenging it was at the time.
This year, I was back on the mat, moving freely again. But honestly, my body and how I feel on the mat just aren’t the same anymore.
Even my definition of yoga has evolved. While I don’t practice asana as often anymore, and it’s no longer the centerpiece of my daily routine, the practice itself never really left.
Seeing so many of my favorite people and soaking in that collective energy, something in me just settled. I realized I wasn’t there to “do yoga” anymore. It felt like I was simply living it, breathing, moving, and responding to life through the steady foundation the practice has given me over the years. Yoga isn’t a place I go to; it’s a state of mind I carry with me, even when I’m off the mat.
It is always incredibly meaningful to share the space and lead the flow with jenifer alicia ooi and Edward Chung

And on a playful note, I finally got to try pickleball! It’s something I’ve wanted to do for the longest time, but pregnancy put it on hold. Getting to run around and move my body in a completely new way was pure joy.
Grateful for the community and the great energy.
Ready for the second half of the year.
