I have been conducting Zumba classes in Bangsar since 2019. Throughout the years, many have come and gone. Some have stayed. Always grateful for each and every one who gave my humble small potato class a try!
We have grown together, they have helped me improve as an instructor and most importantly they feel comfortable being themselves in class! 💖 Best job ever!

Quiet means busy!
Although my online sessions have been off since June of this year, somehow other work has been creeping its way into filling up that space 😅 which was supposed to be for studying.
I am still conducting my Zumba 8 pm Fridays at Bangsar Sports Center. Classes have been overbooked since early July. I take it as a positive problem, and am super grateful for the support and trust strangers have been giving to me 💗
My Resistance Training Class at Bangsar and Seputeh, as well as Personal Training sessions have also been well received and is mostly full.
I don't prefer to fill my calendar to the max, because I need to leave time for my personal growth (especially completing my Specialisation is Corrective Exercise) and for family.
Some cheeky potential clients try to convince me to take them on because they see my classes are only a few times a week.
But nobody sees the work that I need to put in for myself. At this age when the body starts breaking down due to wear and tear, peri-menopause etc. I need to work doubly hard to maintain my fitness.
Not for aesthetic, for my well-being.
People find it hard to believe that a fitness trainer can get injuries, aches, pains. Ahem, we are human too.
These days my training revolves around my weakness, imbalances and injuries, and bullet-proofing them so they don't get in the way of my ageing.
Everyone has imbalances. Most of us just don't know it until we get injured or deal with pain. Most of the time, it's chronic and has been there for many years before the body decides to show us signs. But we say we are getting old.
We should embrace ageing with dignity, but it does not need to be painful.

Natural and unprocessed ✅️
Taste ✅️
Make sure you check all the boxes, not just for breakfast, but for every meal. Eating healthy does not mean you need to go hungry, or it needs to taste like cardboard.
Eat well, stay healthy, stay strong 💪

I concede, Ladies. Nothing in life is ever permanent anyway.
I hope to be back (if I am still wanted) once I have completed my Certification in Corrective Exercise. For now, I need to get my act together and focus on studying.
Thank you for being a part of my Wednesday nights (Online Resistance Training) for years/ months. Missing a few more here who could not make it today. So proud of your growth in strength, in mindset and in confidence 💕

After 4 years and 2 months, my online Zumba sessions have finally come to an end, today.
This pic below was taken after one of the first few online Zumba classes I conducted on the 1st of April 2020.
Back when the world was dealing with an unknown assailant, when we were confined indoors and online fitness was just taking flight.
Grateful for the ones who stuck with me through the years. Together we danced through the pandemic, then, through life returning back to normal.
Thank you for your trust, your patience (remember the technical issues we had with Zoom?) and your friendship. Your support carried me through the years and helped me grow into the instructor I am today ❤️

Truth, especially in this day and age where machines do all the hard work for us.
Remember how the men and women before us used to do housework? Hard labour was something they were used to. It built strength, muscle.
That is why Resistance Training is so important.
Muscle pulls on tendon, tendon pulls on bone. Without strong muscle, the bone has no signal to become stronger. So it just gets weaker.
How many of us do bone density tests to know if we have osteoporosis. I know more females who DO NOT go for checks than the ones who do.
Osteoporosis may be hereditary. Broken bones do not have to be.

Heartfelt ❤️ 🙏Thank You to all who attended/donated towards our FUNdraising Zumba + Pound event. With your help, we raised more than RM 4K towards Paedriatic Hospice and Palliative Care!

Zumba and Pound Lovers Unite!
This Saturday morning, come and support our FUNdraising event for Charity in aid of MAPPAC (Malaysian Association of Paediatric Palliative Care).
MAPPAC is a registered NGO which supports underprivileged children with life-limiting diseases. They provide clinical services, and also training for health care providers, volunteers and caregivers of children with such diseases.
Tickets are RM 50 each, but ANY amount of donation is welcomed 🙏 100% of funds will go to MAPPAC.
