NEW QUALIFICATION IN PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Following the huge success of the pilot course earlier in the year, RRC (EuroHSE Partner) are now the first course provider to offer the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management course.

The course is assessed by a 90 minute exam consisting of 40 multiple choice questions. (Last date of registration is on 1st Dec 2017, Exam on 9 Jan 2018)

The qualification has been developed through collaboration between NEBOSH and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) - the UK's Health & Safety Regulator.

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management aims to provide holders with the knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management to ensure that they can contribute to the effective management of process safety risks.
This course is suitable for people all around the world who work in process industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, plastics and pharmaceuticals. Given the hazardous nature of these industries, this qualification has been designed to give specialist knowledge and understanding to managers, supervisors and safety professionals.

COURSE CONTENT: The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management qualification consists of one Unit which must be completed to gain the qualification:

Unit PSM1: Process Safety Management
- Comprises four elements:
- Process Safety Leadership
- Management of Process Risk
- Process Safety Hazard Control
- Fire Protection and Emergency Response
With topics including:
- Establishment of process management systems
- Asset management and maintenance strategies
- Safe start-up and shutdown of process plant
- Performance standards for safety critical systems and equipment
Hazards and controls for:
- Chemical reactions
- Bulk storage of dangerous substances
- Fire and explosion
- Purpose and features of emergency plans
