ITF Taekwond-Do

Taekwon-Do is about mind body and spirit, its not about kicking and punching but to find your inner soul. Taekwondo (νƒœκΆŒλ„; IPA: /tΙ›kwΙ’ndoʊ/) is a Korean martial art and the national sport of Korea. It is also regarded as the world's most popular martial art in terms of number of practitioners.[1] Kyeorugi, or sparring, is an official Olympic sporting event. In Korean, tae νƒœ θ·† means "foot"; kwon ꢌ ζ‹³ means "fist"; and do 도 道 means "way"; so taekwondo is loosely translated as "the way of the fist and foot".

The International Taekwon-Do Federation extends its deepest condolences to Dr. Chungwon Choue on the passing of his beloved wife, Ms. Youkyung Lee.

Over many years, Dr. Choue and Ms. Lee have been valued friends and companions of the ITF. Their support for cooperation, mutual understanding and friendship has helped strengthen the relationship between our organisations.

We share in Dr. Choue’s sorrow and wish him and his family strength and comfort during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with them, and we extend our heartfelt condolences once again.
