In the final part of our prenatal series, we bring to light the effects hormonal changes have on pregnant women. โค๏ธ

Although the hormone relaxin is not produced only during pregnancy, however, with its significant increase to aid in pregnancy and delivery, it softens the ligaments that support joints making them more mobile.

This adverse effect increases the risk of injuries and the most affected areas are the pelvis, lower back, upper back, feet, and wrist.
