In just a few days, students, researchers, educators and innovators will come together at the Merdeka Award Talk Series Campus Edition at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), to explore an important question: How do we turn research into real-world impact?

The day will also feature a special sharing session by Akademi Sains Malaysia, offering further perspectives on advancing research, innovation and collaboration in Malaysia.

Together, these conversations will explore how ideas can move beyond theory to create meaningful impact for society.

Several weeks into her Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment, Dr. Rasyidah Rehir's journey continues beyond first impressions and new surroundings.

From collaborative research discussions in Graz to advanced anatomy training in Dundee, presenting at an international conference in Birmingham, and exploring leadership development at Oxford, each experience has offered new perspectives and opportunities for growth.

Along the way, she has engaged with researchers across disciplines, exchanged ideas, and explored different approaches to research, education, and professional development.
