Physiotherapy & rehab Pilates to the rescue👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Today, we have a patient came in with back pain triggered while driving (yes when driving). Physiotherapist and certified STOTT PILATES: Rehab Instructor examined and used dry needling to release or inactivate trigger points to relieve pain or improve range of motion 🤩

Preliminary research supports that dry needling improves pain control, reduces muscle tension, and normalizes dysfunctions of the motor end plates, the sites at which nerve impulses are transmitted to muscles. This can help speed up the patient's return to active rehabilitation.

Furthermore, was applied to assist tissue recovery and normalise length and tension ratios of the muscle💪🏻

🤸‍♂Back split🤸‍♀.

🏋‍♂A movement that trains on balance and stability of the hip when the leg is moving.

🏋‍♀With higher resistance, the quadriceps of the front leg will be contracting concentrically to extend the front knee and eccentrically when return.

🏋‍♂With lighter resistance, hamstring of the front leg will need to be in control when that knee extend and flex.

🏋‍♀The movement dissociate the hip, knee, and ankle joint thus suitable for individuals with such dysfunction.

Come and try it out yourself, you'll definitely feel the difference!!!.👏🏻.
