One Crown at A Time!

Crown of thorns starfish are natural inhabitants of coral reefs, but when their populations reach outbreak levels, they can consume large amounts of living coral.

One method used by our trained COT control divers to control outbreaks is vinegar injection, which kills individual COTS while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding reef.

Controlling their population isn’t about removing every COTS. It’s about restoring balance and giving our coral reefs a better chance to recover.

Popular Renggis Island!

As one of the popular dive sites at Tioman, Renggis Island is very accessible to divers of all levels. It is known as the best place to spot blacktip sharks.

More than that, Renggis shallow coral reefs are also a prime area for hawksbill turtles. Just like the sharks, it’s almost a guarantee to find them during your dives there.

Be sure to hop onto the boat when there is a schedule for Renggis Island. You will not be disappointed being able to dive with among the famous underwater residents of Tioman!
