Our deepest and most sincere condolences go out to the family of this 14-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in a bullying incident.

This is truly devastating news. At only 14, he had his whole life ahead of him. He was a talented young cricketer, and his passing is an immense loss to grassroots sports development.

As educators, we have zero tolerance for bullying, whether in the classroom or on the sports field. In sports, competition is one thing, but sledging is a strict no-no. Too often, it crosses the line and escalates into bullying. We always remind our students that there are plenty of kind, encouraging words to use while playing. Cricket is famously known as a gentleman's game, and harsh words have no place in it!

Teachers play a vital role in shaping students—not just academically, but behaviorally. They watch us, they hear us, and they copy us. That is why we constantly remind our kids that choosing kindness is always worth it.

Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. May Allah grant him forgiveness, place him among the righteous in Jannatul Firdaus, and give his family strength and patience during this difficult time. Let us all do better to protect our children.
