A warm welcome to our rider from Ireland joining the Peninsular Divide. Ahead lies over 1,500km of adventure, challenge, and discovery across the length of the peninsula. Different landscapes, different weather, different culture but the same spirit of exploration that brings cyclists to the road less travelled.

We look forward to seeing your journey unfold, one pedal stroke at a time. Welcome to Malaysia and welcome to the Peninsular Divide.

Months have passed, yet these photographs still hold a special kind of magic.

Taken just before the start, they captured a moment when every possibility still lay ahead. The roads had not yet been ridden, the mountains had not yet been climbed and the stories had not yet been written. Standing beside their bicycles, each rider carried hopes, doubts, dreams and a quiet determination that could not be measured in kilometres.

Looking back now, these are more than portraits. They are reminders of a journey that changed people in ways no finish time ever could. The dust has long settled, the tired legs have recovered, but the memories of those days on the road continue to ride with them wherever they go.

More Than Just a Race

The Peninsular Divide is more than distance and elevation. Along the route, riders pass through small villages filled with roadside stalls, local restaurants, fruit stands and family-run businesses.

From fresh coconuts and ice-cold sugar cane juice to Malaysia's famous nasi lemak and roti canai (prata), there is no shortage of food options. Every stop is an opportunity to refuel, experience local culture and support small businesses along the way.

Many riders discover that eating becomes one of the most memorable parts of the adventure. The Peninsular Divide is a race, but it is also a journey through the heart of Malaysia.

Registration Day is more than just collecting race packs.

Every rider must undergo a mandatory bike check and safety briefing before taking on the Peninsular Divide. During the bike check, riders are required to present all mandatory equipment to ensure they meet the race's safety requirements.

The safety briefing officially welcomes riders to the event, introduces key personnel and provides the latest race updates, important reminders and final instructions before the adventure begins.

A crucial first step before 1,520km of challenge, determination and unforgettable memories.

APPLICATION EXTENDED: PENINSULAR DIVIDE 2026

Due to overwhelming interest from both local & international riders and a high number of incomplete applications still in progress, we’re extending the application deadline to 1 September 2026.

We’ve received strong requests from riders planning logistics, especially those arranging long-haul travel and equipment shipping. To ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to submit a complete and well-prepared application, we’re giving this additional time.

This extension also allows us to maintain the quality of the field selecting riders who are truly ready for the demands of the Peninsular Divide.
