Sharing this round as it was especially challenging for us to motivate this group into doing anything (many had limited mobility, shorter attention spans, and varying cognitive abilities), much less moving in the ways we planned 📚
That said, very thrilled to see most of them getting engaged at last 👴👵 It wasn’t easy and we almost lost our voices, but it was all worth all the efforts at the end 🫶

It’s been a pleasure raising awareness throughout the year on the importance of strength & balance for older adults 👴🧓
Glad to see more and more seniors in Malaysia becoming aware of the concept of “active ageing” over time 💪

It’s been months, but the important lesson of fall prevention among older adults with cognitive decline still resonates deeply 📚
Falls are not just a purely an issue with poor balance and strength, they can signal changes in vision, mental health, cognition and even confidence (yes, fear of fall leads to higher risk of fall ⚠️).
Early awareness, proper assessment, and consistent movement practice can go a long way in preserving independence 💯
Grateful to have attended the Fall and Dementia Workshop by back in June. We’re committed to continuous professional learning to help serve our fellow senior citizens better 👴👵
