So glad I was able to catch up with some old friends between my business engagements in Singapore recently.

Been a challenging couple of weeks, battling lost voice amidst a busy training schedule ( with lots of speaking ๐
), but super satisfying to be able to help empower via our workshops/coaching/consulting sessions, to help improve business productivity for 4 different B2B clients, who are market leaders of their specific industries.
Specifically for one of the clients, we delivered our practical and insightful training program on mastering the art of selling professional services. It was energizing to see a group of experienced participants dive deep into our industry-specific strategies and hone their skills with hands-on exercises.
This program was all about equipping our delegates with the practical, insightful, and industry-specific tools they needed to close deals and make a real impact. We got hands-on with real-world scenarios, honed influential questioning skills, and learned how to craft powerful proposals that convert.
The feedback was truly encouraging - our participants are walking away feeling empowered to close deals and make a real impact in their careers.

Are you aware of your Blindspots? What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments ๐ค
We can only truly improve ourselves further when we have awareness of our blindspots and clarity of what we plan to do with them. We all have blindspots. How much do you know about your Blindspots?
Recently, we conducted one on one coaching sessions with 20 separate leaders from a large MNC using the Six Seconds Leadership Vital Signs (LVS) tool, that allowed us to capture 360 feedback about each individual's Leadership approach around Motivation, Change, Teamwork, Ex*****on & Trust drivers. This allowed us to ultimately derive outcomes for Influence, Efficacy, Design & Direction.
What was interesting was the fact that while most of these Leaders when compared to the norm group that have been assessed with LVS over the years around the world, were either ranked average or above average, their self rating vs others was quite diverse. Some even had up to 40% gap differentials, in their feedback ratings.
This means that how they saw themselves in the above mentioned drivers and outcomes were rather different from what others saw them.
While it was an eye-opener to them, we call these areas as blindspots. You see, blindspots are hard to uncover on our own, by self observation or purely by self-reflection alone. That's why they are called blindspots. We are blind to these areas.
Blindspots are best discovered when revealed by others. Much of these are through their feedback.
There are 2๏ธโฃ kinds of feedback:
- Unsolicited
- Solicited feedback
Here are 3๏ธโฃ things I know to be true about feedback:
1๏ธโฃ Unsolicited feedback does not come often. And if you do receive them, they mostly come from people that we have good relationships with or from others that have some authority/influence over us.
2๏ธโฃ Solicited feedback only comes when we ask for them and create a comfortable platform for others to give them to us.
3๏ธโฃ To get a balanced view, get feedback from various people/stakeholders, not only those that we are close with.
In short, if we want to discover and overcome of our blindspots, ask for feedback often from those around us and be open to listen to them. What you want to do with the feedback then is up to you.
As a Leader, sometimes it's hard to admit our faults or gaps. After all, self-confidence and situation awareness is part of our playbook ๐ But if we truly want to grow and add value to our team and others around us, we have to allow ourselves to be vulnerable and be open to feedback. And truly, I say this from first hand experience as a Leader myself.
