We would like to thank our defence coach Marcus Godfrey for his invaluable contribution during the lead up to the trip and during the tournament.

His calm manner, extensive knowledge and ability to build strong relationships ensured the team embraced him with open arms. Marcus had a very young defensive group and was wonderful with them on and off the the field.

Marcus was also amazing at making the hotel staff feel valued during our stay, including Daniel pictured with Marcus who said,"Dear Mr. Marcus, thank you for staying with us. It has been a pleasure serving you and the rest as our guests at M World Hotel. You have given me and my colleagues the opportunity to provide personalised service to you and the team. Personally, for me, this means more than anything in my LIFE. It goes beyond customer service, itโ€™s about connecting as human beings."

Thank you Marcus!

Massive thank you to our assistant coach for the trip, Kaitlyn Daley!

Kaitlyn was responsible for coaching the midfield group and what an incredible positive impact she had. When she wasnโ€™t coaching the midfield she was coordinating the team's recovery and game day warm up and cool down. After hours she ensured the players were hydrated and ate well. Her level head, superb organisational skills and football knowledge were second to none. Then after hours players were drawn to her vibrant positive personality, a brilliant addition to this coaching team.

This year there are joint Best and Fairest recognised in the team, April and Ashlyn, who both had a fantastic tournament!

April showed how amazingly talented she was on this trip. Her calm and composed manner under pressure set the foundation for the midfield. With so many young players in the squad, April was an important mentor. Her ability to adapt and play both in defence and in midfield when required is a credit to her ability and her character. She did whatever was needed for the team. A brilliant tournament by a great player and individual.

Ashlyn was core to the defensive structure and showed true grit and determination. Ashlynโ€™s desire and willingness to guide the young defenders beside her was crucial in their growth throughout the tournament. She gave them positive instruction and made them feel valued on the park. Demonstrating leadership and a never give up attitude every game she was integral to the team both as a player and leader. Well done Ashlyn!
