Westports Management and staff came together to celebrate the 50th birthday of our Executive Chairman, Datuk Ruben Emir Gnanalingam. The celebration marked this special milestone by recognising his leadership, life journey and continued contributions to the organisation and the Pulau Indah community.

The evening came alive with dance performances, musical sketch and creative presentations by colleagues from various departments.

A meaningful celebration of legacy, unity and progress as Westports Malaysia commemorated Founder’s Day 2026 and honoured the late Tan Sri Datuk G. Gnanalingam, whose vision and leadership helped shape Port Klang into one of the world’s leading container ports.

The occasion also marked 32 years of Westports Malaysia, celebrated through cultural performances and musical showcases by our employees, reflecting the spirit and togetherness of the Westports family.

A key highlight was the introduction of CRISMA culture which is stand for Community, Responsibility, Integrity, Safe, Merit and Adapt, reinforcing the values that will guide us into the future. The introduction of CRISMA was launched by Datuk Ruben Emir Gnanalingam, Executive Chairman, Datuk Eddie Lee, Group Managing Director, and Mr Vijaya Kumar, CEO of Westports.

With the presence of Tan Sri G.’s family and the Directors of Westports Holdings Berhad, it was truly a special day to honour our legacy, celebrate our journey and look ahead together.

Westports Holdings Berhad was the winner of the ‘Best Large-cap Company in IR - Transportation & Logistics’ at the inaugural Bursa Malaysia IR Awards 2026 held on 4 September 2026 to recognise excellence in investor relations and encourage higher standards of transparency, engagement and market communication among publicly listed companies.

Westports Holdings Berhad was recognised in the Best of the Best category at The Edge Malaysia ESG Awards 2026, in recognition of the company’s consistent and outstanding performance in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.

Dato’ Tengku Marina, Chairperson of the Board Sustainability Committee and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Westports Holdings Berhad, received the prestigious award on stage. Also present at the event was Datuk Eddie Lee, Group Managing Director of Westports Holdings Berhad.

Westports Malaysia brought together our Heads of Department for the Westports Culture Seminar, reinforcing our refreshed culture, CRISMA: Community, Responsibility, Integrity, Safe, Merit, and Adapt. This marks the start of our CRISMA journey building a culture that is consistently lived in everything we do.

The session highlighted the role of leaders in bringing culture to life through the right behaviors, recognizing positive actions, and addressing gaps. Through discussions and real workplace scenarios, our HODs explored how CRISMA can guide both actions and leadership.

We were also honoured by the presence of Datuk Ruben Emir Gnanalingam, Executive Chairman, Datuk Eddie Lee, Group Managing Director, Mr Vijaya Kumar, Chief Executive Officer and Ms Linda Zain, Deputy Chief Executive Officer who joined various sessions to share their perspectives and reinforce the importance of this cultural transformation.

𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

Westports Malaysia contributed high-powered boat engines and fishing nets to the Persatuan Nelayan Kawasan Pelabuhan Klang (PNPK), supporting fishermen from Pendamar, Telok Gong and Pulau Indah. The engines will enable fishermen to venture further beyond the shoreline to access wider fishing grounds for fish and prawns, supporting their livelihoods.

The items were presented by YB Azmizam State Assemblyman for Pelabuhan Klang, accompanied by Mr Vijaya Kumar CEO of Westports Malaysia and Dato’ Capt. Subramaniam, General Manager of the Port Klang Authority (LPK). The handover was witnessed by Ms Linda Zain DCEO of Westports Malaysia, En. Mohd Zulkarnain, Penghulu Pulau Indah, representatives from PNPK and local community members.

More importantly, the occasion marked the announcement of a High-Level Consultative Committee, initially focusing on fishermen affairs. The Committee will provide a structured platform for Westports, LPK and PNPK to engage on issues affecting the fishing community, with other relevant agencies and stakeholders participating where appropriate.

As Westports 2 progresses, Westports remains committed to constructive engagement with surrounding communities, ensuring that port development and community well-being continue to move forward together.

𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠

Westports Malaysia continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental initiatives that support the preservation and restoration of mangrove ecosystems. A total of 46 Westportians participated in a mangrove clean up activity at Sungai Chandong River, Pulau Indah, where 156.3 kg of waste was successfully collected.

This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to protecting coastal ecosystems while contributing towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment for the surrounding community.
