DUCATI DESMO450 EDS — DUCATI GOES STREET-LEGAL ENDURO!

Ducati is bringing its racing DNA into a new world with the upcoming Ducati Desmo450 EDS — a road-legal enduro machine built for riders who want to attack trails, explore off-road routes, and still have the freedom to ride on the road.

This is not just another dirt bike. The Desmo450 EDS comes from Ducati’s new off-road direction, inspired by the Desmo450 platform — a 450cc Desmodromic single-cylinder concept built for high-revving performance, strong torque, sharp handling, and serious off-road control.

✅ Road-legal enduro concept
✅ Ducati Desmodromic off-road technology
✅ Built for trail, dirt, enduro and adventure riding
✅ Expected 450cc high-performance single-cylinder character
✅ Race-inspired electronics from Ducati’s off-road platform
✅ Aggressive Ducati styling with true enduro purpose

For Malaysia riders, this could be something very exciting — jungle trails, hill climbs, technical sections, plantation routes, weekend adventure rides, and even enduro racing. A Ducati that can go beyond the highway and into the dirt? That is something special.

The full official reveal is coming on June 9, 2026.

Would you choose this Ducati Desmo450 EDS over KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, Sherco or Beta?

🔥 Newcomer Alert: ZXmoto 450 Rally! 🔥
A new face has entered the rally/adventure scene, and it looks serious. Meet the Zxmoto 450 Rally — a lightweight, purpose-built rally machine clearly inspired by full-spec competition bikes, but made to be more accessible for everyday riders and privateers.

✅ ENGINE & PERFORMANCE
Under the hood, the Zxmoto carries a 449cc single-cylinder DOHC engine with a high 14:1 compression ratio, showing it’s tuned for punchy mid-to-high RPM performance. It also comes with a wet multi-plate slipper clutch (hydraulic) for smoother downshifts and better control when attacking technical sections.

✅ DIMENSIONS & BUILD
What makes it exciting is the combination of 128 kg net weight and a proper 32L dual-tank system — something usually seen on high-end rally bikes. The 960mm seat height and 1490mm wheelbase make it a tall, terrain-ready machine, built for stability at high speed.

✅ CHASSIS & SUSPENSION
Zxmoto went all-in with competition-level hardware:

Front: Dual-chamber inverted fork (damping-adjustable)

Rear: Fully adjustable shock with external reservoir
This setup is aimed purely at riders who want serious off-road performance, whether rally training, adventure riding, or amateur races.

✅ BRAKES & TYRES

Front: Single floating disc, 2-piston caliper

Rear: Monobloc caliper

Foam inserts with 90/90-21 (front) & 140/80-18 (rear) rally tires

✅ ERGONOMICS FOR RALLY USE
With a 30° steering angle and 28° rake, the bike promises stability and confidence over rough terrain, dunes, and long-distance trails.

---

🔥 Why This Matters?
Zxmoto is a new name trying to challenge established rally brands. With these specs, the 450 Rally slots into the growing market of affordable rally-capable machines — ideal for enthusiasts who want Dakar-style performance without paying premium European prices.

If they price it right, this could be a game-changer for private rally riders, adventure enthusiasts, and anyone wanting a lightweight alternative to heavy ADV bikes.

Would you consider the Zxmoto 450 Rally for your next rally/adventure build? 👀💬

New Bike Alert! 2026 Kawasaki KLE500 Unveiled Yesterday

Hey ride-fam! Big news — Kawasaki officially pulled the covers off the new KLE500 (yes, reviving the name) and it’s looking like a strong contender in the middleweight adventure / dual-sport segment.
Here’s a write-up you can slap into your FB post (feel free to tweak tone / localise) plus the specs, pros & cons.

---

Specs at a glance

Engine: 451 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin (same bore & stroke as the Ninja 500) delivering plenty of usable pull.

Frame & chassis: Trellis/high-tensile steel frame using engine as stressed member for a lower centre of gravity.

Suspension & wheels: 21″ front wheel / 17″ rear wheel (wire-spoked rims) + KYB inverted fork & Uni-Trak rear shock with ~200 mm travel at rear.

Brakes: 300 mm front disc / 230 mm rear disc, both with dual-piston calipers; ABS is selectable (can be turned off) for off-road use.

Ergonomics/features: Adjustable windscreen (3 height positions), upright and standing riding position possible, smartphone connectivity (via Kawasaki’s Rideology app) in higher trim.

Models & price (US): Standard model US$6,599; SE version US$7,499.

Colour / trim: SE version adds LED turn signals, TFT display, hand guards, bigger skid plate and more rally-style gear.

---

✅ Pros

Versatility: With 21/17 wheels, good suspension travel and adjustable ergonomics, this bike looks like it can handle both tarmac and moderate trails – a true adventure twin for many riders.

Accessibility: The 451 cc engine is midweight but capable, meaning it's a solid choice for riders who want adventure capability without going full large-enduro big power.

Modern touches: Features like selectable ABS (great for off-road), smartphone connectivity, adjustable screen show Kawasaki didn’t just slap a name on an existing bike—they’ve added contemporary value.

Value for money: If the price holds similar globally, getting this spec for the money is compelling.

Brand return: Kawasaki hasn’t had a “true” adventure twin in many markets for a while – so this is kind of a comeback in that sense, which should excite the community.

---

⚠️ Cons / things to watch

17″ rear wheel only: Whilst 21″ front gives off-road cred, the 17″ rear is more road-biased than hardcore off-road enduro bikes (those often run 18″ or even 19″ rears). So if you’re doing serious off-trail, this might limit you.

Power ceiling: Being ~451 cc and possibly tuned for low-/mid-range, it may not have big high-speed warrior performance that some adventure bikers expect. If your goal is aggressive long-haul highway/dual-carriageway touring with full load & pillion, check how it performs.

Seat height & weight: Although Kawasaki talks about ergonomic options, adventure bikes inherently have higher seats. For shorter riders this might be a challenge; need to check local spec/seat heights when it lands in Malaysia.

Off-road limitations: While the spec is adventurous, compared to hardcore off-road machines it’s still a “dual adventure” rather than full enduro. So tread carefully if you plan extreme terrain.

Unknowns for local market: When the bike hits Malaysia (import duty, local spec, availability of accessories, dealer service) it may come with different pricing or options.

KTM 2025 Mid-Year Update: Restructuring Progress Despite Lower Sales

The first half of 2025 has been a challenging period for KTM and Pierer Mobility Group, with both sales and revenue experiencing significant declines. However, through a major restructuring program, the company has managed to strengthen its financial position and secure a path toward recovery.

- Sales and Revenue
Motorcycle sales reached 85,284 units, compared to 147,496 in the same period last year, representing a decline of 42 percent.

Group revenue fell by 57.8 percent, totaling approximately €425 million.

The bicycle division (Husqvarna and GASGAS e-bikes) is being phased out, with 50,107 units sold in the first half of the year. The remaining inventory is expected to be sold by the end of 2025.

- Restructuring Gains
The group completed its insolvency restructuring in June 2025, paying 30 percent of recognized claims.

This process generated a restructuring gain of approximately €1.2 billion, significantly improving the company’s balance sheet.

- Financial Results
Net profit: €739 million
EBITDA: €1.0 billion
EBIT: up to €966 million
Net debt reduced from €1.64 billion (December 2024) to €756 million (June 2025).

Equity increased to €532 million, with an equity ratio of 27 percent.

- Operational Updates
Production in Austria experienced two stoppages earlier in 2025 but all four lines were restarted by the end of July.

A deliberate reduction in deliveries and production helped reduce global inventory and improve liquidity.

Workforce was reduced by more than 1,700 employees, with an additional 220 following the sale of MV Agusta. Recruitment for key roles has now resumed at the company’s headquarters in Mattighofen.

- Funding
€450 million restructuring loan was provided by Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV.

€350 million shareholder loan was secured from Pierer Bajaj AG.

- Outlook
For 2025, revenue is expected to remain significantly below 2024 levels as the company continues to correct inventories.

Positive EBITDA is forecasted for 2026.

Positive EBIT is anticipated by 2027, signaling a full operational and financial recovery.

- Summary
Although KTM has faced a sharp decline in sales and revenue, the restructuring measures have stabilized the business, reduced debt, and improved profitability. The company is focusing on leaner operations and is preparing for sustainable growth in the coming years.
