๐ฐ๐ท 14th Korea Open Busan Dragonboat Festival 2026.
This time, Rogue Malaya ๐ฒ๐พ was more than just one team. We joined forces with paddlers from ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ต โ and here's the crazy part: for many of us, it was our first time paddling together... with zero training sessions together beforehand. ๐ฎโ๐จ
From chasing every stroke to fighting our way through the repechages, this crew came to race, learn and leave it all on the water. ๐ฅ We made it into 2 Grand Finals and had some seriously hard-fought races along the way.
๐ Women-12 200m - Grand Finalist - 6th Place
๐ Mixed-22 300m - Grand Finalist - 5th Place
Considering we started as strangers from different parts of Asia and had to find our rhythm while racing, we're pretty proud of what we achieved. ๐ค
More than the results, we're taking home new friendships, unforgettable memories and a whole lot of motivation to come back stronger. ๐๐
Until the next start line โ we go again.
How does a dragon boat paddle sound to you? ๐ค
Everyone has an answer. Here's ours ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ

What. A. Weekend. ๐๐ฅ
Putrajaya International Dragon Boat Race 2026... you were one for the books.
We lined up against some of the toughest dragon boat clubs in Malaysia and the region, gave it everything we've got, and even powered through back-to-back-to-back races. No excuses. Just pure grit. ๐ช
๐ Weekend Recap
โก Semi Finalists โ 12 Crew International Open (Mix)
โก 3rd in the Women's National Open Repechage โ narrowly missing out on a place in the Final
No podium this time, but we're leaving with something just as valuableโexperience, lessons, stronger teamwork, and even more hunger for the next one.
To every paddler, drummer, steerer, coach, supporter, family member, and friend... thank you for having our backs every stroke of the way. โค๏ธ
This isn't the end of the story. It's just another chapter.
We'll reset.
We'll train harder.
We'll paddle faster.
See you at the next race. ๐

Lake training today be like...
Coach: "Last set!"
Us: "Okay."
Coach: "...One more last set!"
Every paddler: ๐ซ ๐๐คก
But no complaints (okay... maybe a few ๐คฃ). The pain today means we're one step closer to being race-ready. Every stroke, every sprint, every "eh, my lats gone already" moment is all part of the process.
The vibes were solid, the boat was moving, and everyone's locked in.
Next up: Putrajaya Race. ๐ฃโโ๏ธ๐ฅSee you at the start line๐ช

The 41st Melaka Dragon Boat Festival has come to an end and while the results weren't exactly what we hoped for, we're leaving with plenty to be proud of.
๐ช Our Women's Team fought hard and earned a well-deserved spot in the semi-finals! Meanwhile, our Mixed Boat A narrowly missed qualification by just 0.3 secondsโa heartbreaking margin that shows just how close we are. Our Open Boat and Mixed Boat B also gave everything they had, putting up strong performances against tough competition.
Of course, we all wanted to make it to the semi-finalsโand even the finals. But this race also reminded us that there's still work to be done if we want to compete at the next level.
Now it's time to recover, recharge, and get back to work. Every race is a lesson, every training is an opportunity and every stroke brings us closer to where we want to be.
See you all at the next training. Let's keep pushing, keep improving and come back stronger for the next race! ๐ฃ๐ฅ
