How can the brain influence blood sugar levels? 🧠

A fascinating study by J.R.E. Carty from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai uncovered a new brain-liver communication pathway that drives stress-induced hyperglycemia, and it’s independent of traditional hormones like insulin or adrenaline.

For the molecular details, researchers used Quantabio’s qScript cDNA SuperMix to accurately measure gene expression tied to glucose production, shedding a light on how the brain’s stress circuits can directly boost liver glucose output. https://bit.ly/4u7SNzv
