When I first joined Aikido, I never imagined that one day I would be standing in front of the class, teaching the art.
After nearly a decade pioneering the SLC Dojo, I’m still on the mat—and enjoying every minute of it.
Many of my senpai have stepped away from Aikido, while a few continue their Aikido journey, still training and practising but choosing not to take on the role of Sensei.
For me, teaching has become another wonderful part of my Aikido journey.
And now we have another challenge at our Sunway Lagoon Club Dojo… 😆
We have an XXL-sized dojo with mats for 40+ students, but currently we’re around 20 on the mat.
So… why stop at 20? 😂
Imagine having 40+ students regularly on the mat—every class could start feeling like a mini Aikido seminar!
So to my fellow senpai—share your experience, and if you wish, perhaps join me in teaching and passing the art on to the next generation.
The feeling is priceless. 🙏
Let’s build a bigger Aikido community together—one where we can make Aikido fun, enjoyable and sustainable for many years to come.
And to those who have never tried Aikido…
There’s plenty of space on the mat for you too! 😉
20 today… 40+ next?
Let’s fill this XXL dojo with Aikido! 🥋😂

Seiichi members, are you ready for our camp this weekend? Our team at MMU Malacca has put together an amazing programme for students to cross train with different instructors.

What a wonderful surprise to welcome back our former student, Nako, who left Malaysia to pursue her medical degree in Hungary.
Despite her busy studies and travels, she took the time to visit us—and even brought a thoughtful gift from Japan. 🎁
As Sensei, we are deeply touched by gestures like this. While we may teach techniques on the tatami, it is moments like these that remind us that Aikido is ultimately about people, respect, gratitude, and lifelong connections.
Thank you, Nako, for remembering your dojo family. We are proud to have been a small part of your journey and wish you every success in your medical career.
At SLC Dojo, we hope every student leaves with more than Aikido techniques—they leave with friendships and memories that last a lifetime. ❤️🥋

A new chapter begins.
For the first time, our Aikido seminar proudly showcases our 2nd Generation Sensei—a testament to the passing on of knowledge, spirit, and tradition.
Join us for this special seminar and celebrate how Aikido continues to grow from one generation to the next. We look forward to training with you!🥋

The dojo has evolved. In the old days, only Sensei's birthday was celebrated. Today, every student is part of the family. More birthdays, more laughter, more cake... and hopefully, more training too! 🎂
A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful mums who take the time and effort to organise these celebrations. Your thoughtfulness and generosity help make our dojo feel like a second home. ❤️

Parents, children, and seniors sharing the same mat — growing together, each at their own pace.
At our dojo, beginners, kids, and seniors all train in the same class — but in different ways.
With a larger mat space, we run a “3-station system” so everyone trains safely and effectively at their own level:
• Beginners build strong fundamentals
• Kids learn focus, movement, and discipline
• Seniors train at a safe and comfortable pace
Same class. Different paths. One Aikido journey.
In the spirit of Budo, we encourage our advanced students not only to chase Dan grades, but also to pass on their knowledge and grow into future Sensei.
Watch how it works in this clip.
DM us to join or try a class.
