Meet Carlito, our very own DMT 🌊

While he’s still completing his certification, he’ll be assisting on dives alongside our experienced team — gaining hands-on experience and building the skills needed to become a fully qualified DM 🤿

That means when you dive with us, you’ll be guided and assisted by our own passionate team, who know these waters better than anyone. Whether it’s helping you gear up, guiding underwater, or ensuring your safety, they’ll be right there with you to make your dive smooth, safe, and unforgettable. 🐠🤿

Mozambique has seen some of the largest sightings declines on record (Cullain et al. 2025; Venables et al. 2024). However, in Závora we still get large seasonal aggregations, likely linked to reproduction. When you join our program, you will:

☑️ Assist in data collection using photo-ID
☑️ Learn about underwater ultrasounding (the first ever in Mozambique!)
☑️ Participate in tagging and telemetry workshops
☑️ Be part of novel research and new discoveries
