Ohangwena Region, get ready for the Groot Silica Mining Project
Now that we are finalizing our farm land for our Groot Glass project and anchor projects including a 200MW Solar PV Project, we are going to start developing and constructing our N$150 million Silica Sand Mining and Processing Plant in Ohangwena Region during the early part of 2022.
The Environmental Impact Assessment Study (EIA) for our silica sand processing and mining factories was approved and certified in 2018 by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the Republic of Namibia.
The Groot Silica Sand Mining and Processing Plant is estimated to employ up to 600 fulltime employees in Ohangwena Region for the mining and processing of quality silica sand which is needed for our glass manufacturing plants.

Our Silica Sand Mining and Processing activities are based on our certified environmental impact assessment report, which strictly adheres to the Environmental Management Plan Act of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the Republic of Namibia.

The Immanuel Sheefeni AIDS Foundation is urgently looking for a total of 1,350 young Namibians, who are interested in working as general workers at The Immanuel Sheefeni Fish Farm Project being developed near Outapi in Omusati Region.
These general workers will be responsible for working in greenhouses, to breed the fish and shrimps, clean the fish ponds, and process the fish and Shrimps as well as growing and harvesting vegetables (tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers).
These are full-time positions offering full wages and salaries with generous benefits.

Groot Chemicals Secures USD $365 million (NAD $5.3 billion) for the Ammonia and Urea Fertilizer Plants in Omunkete Village, Omusati, Namibia
In October 2019, Groot Suisse (formerly known as "Groot Systems") secured USD $2 billion (NAD $29 billion) Private Equity Round led by Boston, Massachusetts USA based RNS Ventures LLC. with funding by several boutique investment firms including Pine Suisse Inc. and Boston Funds Inc.
Out of that amount, USD $365 million (NAD $5.3 billion) is for the development, construction and installation of the much anticipated Groot Chemicals' Fertilizer Plant (Ammonia and Urea) in Omunkete Village (Oshikuku Constituency), Omusati, Namibia.
The pre-engineering work for the Groot Chemicals' Fertilizer Plant is scheduled to start in early 2020 and should be completed by August 2020, while the construction and engineering by the German and American companies for this long-delayed and much-anticipated Groot Chemicals' Fertilizer Plant is slated to start by September 2020 and be completed in 22 months.
We are thrilled and excited for this and looking forward to the commissioning of the Groot Chemicals' Fertilizer Plant, to produce ammonia and Urea fertilizers for the agricultural industry.

Groot Systems Closes USD $2 Billion in Strategic Funding Led by US-Based RNS Ventures
This funding of USD $2 billion (NAD $29.34 billion) sets the companys valuation at USD $30 billion (NAD $484.8 billion), and PineSuisse is taking 70% of equity in Groot Systems, for its funding.
