A list of endangered shark & ray species, Dr Ruth Leeney is leading a research team studying the behaviour, distribution, quantities and nursing areas in Namibia, this will help us to not only conserve a very important specie in our waters, but help Namibia to have more info available, which we do not have a lot about except for info from us Anglers.

Internationals - Overall Results
Well done to each angler who took part and Thank you to the SA Teams who travelled to Namibia to compete.
All fish which was caught was handled in a specific way to limit air exposure and also safely released.

Just a sneak peak of what was caught during the internationals by the Namibian Swakopmund Threshers Teams.
Record species per day was caught, where we usually aim to catch 6, alot of anglers reached this number and even higher, where the highest recorded was 10 for the day.
The internationals was a great success and we would like to Thank each SA member and Namibian member for taking part. The competition was tough, seeing a lot of species was caught daily, we had to really scratch and ensure you find as much as possible.
All in all, we could not have had an successfull event, if it was not for our sponsors, does not matter how small...
The final results will be posted soon...
