Francois caught this whopping 1.92m cob yesterday afternoon at the Kunene Mouth.
Dr. François Jacobs, Chief Fisheries Biologist from Kamutjonga Inland Fisheries Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land reform in collaboration with the MEFT with funding trough WWF Legacy Landscape Project, joined us on this trip to tag 2 big cobs with satellite tags. The research will help us understand the importance of the freshwater influence on aquatic biodiversity at the Kunene River Mouth.
This 1.92 cob and the 1.85 that Yulian caught a few days ago are the first 2 cobs to be fitted with the brand new satellite tags.
In 60 days they will hopefully gather a lot of information about the fishes behaviour
