Michael Dooley from Lansing Beach Green in the UK visited us on 16 May and made this lovely video for us. He is on a mission to cycle to every parkrun country in the world 😲 - yes you read that right. He has already done every parkrun country in Europe and now he is on his African visit. We all wish him safe and happy cycling.

Just a quick heads-up for tomorrow’s parkrun

There is an event taking place nearby, and one side of Strand Street will be closed.

Our route is NOT affected, but access to parkrun may be slightly busier than usual, so we’d recommend arriving a little earlier.

See you at the yellow bus for the briefing by 07:50 — remember we start 08:00 sharp.

A tiny bit nippy, but definitely one for the books.

Our volunteers bundled up to brave the weather and make parkrun possible — thank you, as always, for showing up so selflessly week after week after week. You are so appreciated.

And to every walker, jogger, runner, timer, marshal, barcode scanner, cheerleader, and setup/breakdown crew member… thank you for being part of this community. We’re so very lucky.

400 events later, and Swakopmund parkrun has grown — we couldn’t be prouder 💚
