Swakop Striders We are an athletics club based in Swakopmund, Namibia. Several of them have already reached championship status at senior level.

When the Rössing Sports Office showed little interest in road runners other than the elite athletes, A group of like minded runners got together in 1986 to form a club to support local runners and Swakop Striders was born. For over 30 years Swakop Striders is an active club in Namibia. We are growing and are nearly 150 members strong. Track & Field athletics was introduced some years ago and today we have an active track and field section in Walvis Bay. We have several very talented young athletes who will certainly leave their marks on the athletics scene in Namibia.
