FOUNDER

Jo-Ann Thys Krohne is the founder of the Tsumeb Sports Academy. She is a member of the NFA and currently holds the position of NFA Khomas Grassroot Instructor and was part of the Local Organising Committee for CAF and COSAFA.

Her love for grassroot development goes all the way back to 2006 with her being the founder of Jo-Ann Football Academy. She is well-equipped and passionate with her also having past experience with team management of U/18 Craven Week Rugby in Durban. In addition, she also served for a short while on the Namibian Rugby Union Executive Board.

Jo-Ann has also been the team manager for the Namibian Premier League team, Orlando Pirates, for the past 6 years.
She also holds academic qualifications from Stellenbosch and TAFISA in sports science.

Welcome to the Tsumeb Sports Academy page!

We are a newly established sports academy aimed at inclusive grassroot development for children between the ages of 6 and 12.

Tsumeb Sports Academy aims at grooming children from all backgrounds and all genders. We stand for inclusivity, hoping to bring together boys, girls as well children with disabilities in the following sports codes: football, netball and athletics.

We will be hosting our launch and first annual sports festival on the 17th of December until the 19th of December.🎉
