The T30 cricket match between Sparta and Blue Waters 1 took place on Saturday, 27th January at the Oval. Sparta won the toss and selected to bowl first.

Blue Waters scored 224 for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 30 overs. Zhivago Groenewald and Morne van Bosch opened the bowling for Sparta. Zhivago was particularly impressive, taking 3 wickets while conceding only 12 runs. Morne van Bosch and Connor Bouwer also contributed with a wicket each.

Sparta needed to chase down 225 runs to win the match in their 30 overs.

Unfortunately, Sparta was bowled out for 94 runs in 22.4 overs. The top scorers for Sparta were Brandon Groenewald with 18 runs from 22 balls, Morne van Bosch with 14 runs from 27 balls, and Wimpie Martins with 13 runs from 22 balls.

On Sunday, January 21st, a T30 cricket match took place between Sparta and JCCA at the Oval in Walvis Bay. Sparta won the toss and elected to bowl first. JCCA, batting first, were bowled out for a total of 155 runs after 28.4 overs. Helmut Mack took 3 wickets, while Zhivago Groenewald and Brandon Groenewald both claimed 2 wickets each. Henry Olivier also contributed with 1 wicket.

In the chase, Sparta displayed a strong batting performance and successfully reached the target, scoring 156 runs in just 23.2 overs while losing only 4 wickets. Opening batsman Henri Olivier top-scored with 41 runs of 49 balls. Wimpie Martins contributed 27 runs of 28 balls, and Zhivago Groenewald played remarkable innings, scoring 62 runs off just 27 balls. Zhivago's innings included 3 boundaries and 6 sixes.

With this victory, Sparta emerged as the winner of the match, showcasing a dominant performance with both the ball and the bat.
