NMSF PRIZE GIVING 2025

This past Saturday we gathered to honour the riders who earned their place at the top during the 2025 Namibia National Motocross Championship.

Hosted by Namibian Motorsport Federation, the evening wasn’t just about trophies. It was about the work behind them.

The early mornings.
The late nights in the pits.
The injuries pushed through.
The sacrifices families make quietly in the background.

To every champion, every podium finisher, and every rider who lined up this season, congratulations. You showed up. You committed. You kept going.

Motocross is not an easy sport. It demands discipline, courage, resilience, and heart. And this community proves, year after year, that Namibia produces riders who carry all of that with pride.

But here’s the truth.

A prize giving is not the finish line. It’s a checkpoint.

The 2026 season is already calling.
New goals.
New rivalries.
New standards to raise.

Whether you lifted a trophy this weekend or sat in the crowd hungry for your turn, the track resets for everyone. What matters now is what you do next.

To our riders, parents, sponsors, officials, and volunteers, thank you for building this sport together. This is a community effort. Every role matters.

Heads up. Visors down.

We go again.

Leg 1. Done. And the 2026 season is officially underway.

45 riders lined up at Gallina Motocross Park this weekend for the opening round of the Namibia National Motocross Championship, and from the first gate drop it was clear, this season is not going to be predictable.

Riders have moved up in classes. Bigger bikes. Faster pace. Higher pressure. Some settled in immediately. Others are still finding rhythm. That adjustment phase is where championships are shaped.

Highlights from the weekend:
- King of the Dirt standings saw a major shake-up
- 65cc juniors delivered the largest class with 10 entries and relentless racing
- MX1 depth has grown, raising the standard at the top
- Spectator turnout increased, with many new faces trackside
- And a special welcome to Louw Schoeman, our newest rider in the 50cc class, the youngest class on the track but often the biggest crowd favourite

With the FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations taking place in Windhoek this August, every lap now counts. The first three legs will play a major role in national selection. Riders know what is at stake.

A proper thank you to Motor Media Namibia for showing up.

While riders are chasing lines and fighting for points, these guys are trackside capturing the moments that matter.

They don’t miss a gate drop. And they make sure Namibia doesn’t either.

We appreciate the consistency. We appreciate the commitment. And we appreciate the fact that you’re part of the Gallina weekends.

On to the next one.
